Introducing ALLWEX Food Trading GmbH

After its founding on 2 January 1981 by Walter Götze, an import and export trader from the food branch with world-wide connections, ALLWEX sold coffee, ice cream, and honey, amongst other things. When a friend of Walter Götze's, the Danish bee-keeping hobbyist and county director Lund Aagaard, told him of his difficulties in acquiring Propolis for his experiments, Götze offered his assistance in delivering Propolis to Denmark in the desired amounts.

Since in the meantime well-known manufacturers of pharmaceutical products developed an interest in Propolis and other bee products, Walter Götze expanded the business and thus became Germany's leading supplier of Propolis. After his death in 1991, his heirs sold the company to Hartmut Schreiter on 1 July 1992. Schreiter has made it his goal to promote the acceptance of bee products and to build up further markets for these valuable natural products. By systematically acquiring new sources of raw materials world-wide, he has been able to obtain high-grade Propolis and thus achieve distinction as a supplier of products of the highest quality.

The company has made a significant contribution to the improvement of Propolis quality by developing a new cleaning process. This along with the regular analysis of Propolis samples from all around the world made it possible for ALLWEX to set a very high standard of quality for Propolis.

A further step in this direction was achieved in the processing and refining of raw materials into semi-finished products required by industry for further processing into finished products. This has led to the availability of over 50 different products sold by ALLWEX in Germany as well as in over twenty countries world-wide.

"One can achieve long-term success only through the firm, innermost conviction of the correctness and significance of an idea and the persistence not to be discouraged by any obstacle in striving to reach one's objective. Trust in one's own competence as well as steadiness in product development and contact with business partners form the basis of creativity and future success."
